Point of the Arches

While spending a couple of days at Shi Shi Beach my wife and I were

treated to one of the most spectacular sunsets I've seen in some time.

This image was taken about 15 minutes after the sun had set and the

sky was putting on quite a show. I cropped this from a landscape

orientation because I felt it made for a stronger composition. As

always your comments and criticisms are much appreciated.

Craig,  Wonderful sunset image.  I like the way you kept the mood soft and not harsh.  This way I can feel the cool air and a bit of mist from the beach.  Might opening the shadows on the rocks add more definition to them?  Just a question.  Most successful image.  Larry

Larry, I exposed for the sky on this shot and I was thinking silhouette, there is some detail in the raw file and I'm playing with it, thanks for the idea.

This low light and elements of composition give a special mood looking it,I like the color and almost here the sound of waves.
