This is Mcgill College avenue. Another block to my left you go through the gate to McGill University. Just to my right is the intersection of President Kennedy ave. To my left  and on the same side walk is a photo exhibition (outdoors) of the works of the late  David Wallace Marvin (1930 - 1975) who extensively took photos of things and people in the core of Montreal from 1965 to 1975. It inspired me to take this image. For what it is worth, Sunday 23rd August 2015 is the last day for this outdoor exhibition of photos.

The reflection tells a great story about life in and around the described area Tony. I like the idea and your execution very much. A most interesting write up as well. Yes indeed thanks for sharing.

Best, Holger

This is a picture that requires a bit of study.  First-  is the photographer in the picture?  (in other words, a "selfie")  I looked carefully, and I think the camera is a little bit to the left of the seated couple, and so not shown in the photo.  Next I looked closely at all the people in the picture.  There are many, and it takes a while to look at them, right down to the man at the top of the stairs center left.   A great myriad.  Extremely sharp picture here.  Great depth and detail.  Nice!

Holger - Thanks. I was at a a country cottage on a lake about 90 minutes drive north today and the weather was great. I have already shared 'the kiss' from that trip.  All the best,

Jim - many thanks. I am not sure why but I am not into selfies and I usually avoid have photos of me on the net, You are right about the myriad of details the viewer encounters. I wondered if there was too much of it.   All the best,

nice work  the frame of the background and color give a special character in the composition also the reflection of the glass of the person siting on the bench and signal on the street, at the same time the sense of freedom of them. congratulation..!

Very nice capture Tony. I like the stop light and the taillights on the cars. Great shot.

The wife went to McGill for a year.  I've never been to Montreal, but it's on my list.  I like the crispness of the shot.  The tilt to the bench adds a little tension.

Good to get your feedback and nice to hear from you since it has been a quite a long time since we commented on each other's images.

So your wife went to McGill!    I was accepted to both McGill and Concordia but someone advised me that Concordia was better for what I wanted to do.  If you are ever in Montreal and it is convenient for both us to meet for a coffee, I am game.  For some people it is is the Paris of North America.

PS I had observed the tilt of the bench and it must be like that because both the horizontal and vertical lines associated with the building are as plumb as I can get it. Maybe  it was designed that way so that the girl would slowly slide closer to her friend.
