b & w Mt Hood After Sunset

I came across this old image that I really like but the color version

just wasn't quite there, no matter how hard I tried. I decided to

convert it to B&W and I really like this version. The sun had set and

it was getting quite dark, if I remember this was about a 90 second

exposure (taking into account reciprocity failure). I would love to

hear what you do and do not like about this image, the feedback I

receive helps me greatly as I continue to grow as a photographer.

Recently I am experimenting with landscape night photography. I see this photo as an excellent example that masters the mood of the night. The overall tone is dark, without loosing details and the vignetting reproduces the reduced eye sight that we have in the night. The composition with the dead tree in the foreground makes it a memorable photo. Congratulations. Karl
