mountaineer1965 0 Posted August 20, 2015 I came across this old image that I really like but the color versionjust wasn't quite there, no matter how hard I tried. I decided toconvert it to B&W and I really like this version. The sun had set andit was getting quite dark, if I remember this was about a 90 secondexposure (taking into account reciprocity failure). I would love tohear what you do and do not like about this image, the feedback Ireceive helps me greatly as I continue to grow as a photographer. Thanks for taking the time to view and comment. Not Here 93 Posted August 20, 2015 I like the composition and post treatment, in particular the b/w conversion is excellent... Mike Link to comment

rjmelone 3 Posted August 21, 2015 A striking image Craig, perfectly framed and outstanding use of light! I can easily see this contest winner on the cover of Outdoor Photographer or Nature Photographer magazine. Best regards, Rob Link to comment
Karl Schuler 48 Posted August 23, 2015 Recently I am experimenting with landscape night photography. I see this photo as an excellent example that masters the mood of the night. The overall tone is dark, without loosing details and the vignetting reproduces the reduced eye sight that we have in the night. The composition with the dead tree in the foreground makes it a memorable photo. Congratulations. Karl Link to comment
