This works so well. When I first looked at the thumbnail, it looks like there is a smile there, still looks like a smile. Almost looks like the head of a children's drawing of a dragon neck and head. The textures really help. that are on top. I am still trying to figure this out though. It seems as though whatever this is, is sealed in something-except for the upper left hand side where we 'see' what appears to be a black hole (eye). Great presentation!

The draught is over! Good for us....So great to have you back posting your work, especially when you kindly share something as unique as this image, where your dexterity in transforming an ordinary object into a work of exquisite taste and into something unique. For me, this image denotes a heightened sensibility, not only from a photographic POV but also from an ontological one.

Many thanks for your comments on this picture, they're much appreciated. I often wonder where images come from, especially simple ones like this one which I found hiding in a back alley. I think they stimulate some vestige of your childhood that still manages to survive. I'd like to be in touch with that part of myself more often. For children it's all magic and nothing is really impossible; things transform and show their hidden selves. I think that can be true for photography as well if you can view the world as a child.
