celasun 0 Posted August 1, 2015 A "real" portrait. Also unusual, as I do not remember seeing color images from you...Shooting from such a low angle makes me feel like I should ... respect her. I should leave myself into her hands. She is competent, responsible, caring and ... loving. At the risk of over reading this portrait, I must also add that I just feel a hint of ambivalence in her look. It is as if she is trying to hide something, or supress a feeling...I can talk/write more and I can do that easily. Yet I must stop. Because I will be writing more about myself; rather than on your portrait or your model...I am sure I will always remember this image as a perfect portrait in every sense I value. Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted August 1, 2015 I too feel it is a very real portrait. Such separation from subject to background makes it seem like you could reach out and touch her. A great capture.Holger Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 2, 2015 For me, this is not so simple. There's something actually intimidating about this portrait. She seems not just larger than life, but larger than all of nature. Her bronze-ness against the pastel sky makes this more so. This is a contrast of Earth and heaven, of life and the infinite. Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's sizeBut when I start to tell them,They think I'm telling lies.I say,It's in the reach of my armsThe span of my hips,The stride of my step,The curl of my lips.I'm a womanPhenomenally.Phenomenal woman,That's me.—Maya Angelou Link to comment
David-Wisse 5 Posted August 3, 2015 Carlos - You must be channeling Da Vinci with this fine portrait. That is an enigmatic smile on par with the great master. Well done,David Link to comment
