In this case it's good Tony, the way it comes through the tall grass and lights the grass behind it. Very nice landscape.

As Holger noted, it's all circumstantial and in this case it works perfectly to enhance the sun shining through the grasses.  Beautiful shot... Mike

You really do wonders with the fading light. Sunset pictures are a bit of a cliché but yours are much more magical than most.

I think the way the sun and trees on the left bisect the picture crowds the wide open expanse of the clouds and water on the right side.

I think the picture would be more evocative if you moved the sun and the edge of the tree about 1/3 of the way to the left of the picture, and give some room to the open expense on the right.

A lot of your scenes with water are gorgeous.  This looks good with the lens flare, brining the sun out of the scene to the viewer.  So much detail, so much to admire.  This is truly lovely work!

Many thanks for your constructive and positive comment. Always appreciated.

A high percentage of my shots, especially at this location,  utilize the rule of the thirds and some case I do a 50% split. For better or for worse, I decided to use a 50% split - left half vs right half. In the end it comes down to tastes but I do appreciate the time you took to point this out.   All the very best,

Sorry I missed this when you posted it. I love the sun rays here... very natural looking, to me they make the picture. It would've been great regardless but because of the rays I can see why you went with the 50% split. Nice work as usual, Brent
