Bill J Boyd 65,058 Posted June 20, 2015 Holger,a nice capture of this bird. Not sure what kind, but probably some type of sparrow (and there are tons of those to choose from). Link to comment

FranzWeber 368 Posted June 21, 2015 Nice work. Isn't H.S. a typical Name from the north of Germany?Regards, Franz. Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted June 21, 2015 Thanks for the look and write Jack.Yes Franz you are correct and I meant to email you a brief background but my German is not up to it. I am from Bremerhaven and my parents moved to the USA when I was 3years old so my German language skills have unfortunately eroded over time. I did understand what you wrote and I apologize for not responding sooner. Thanks.Sincerely, Holger Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted June 26, 2015 I really like this shot. This tiny bird, it's size so evident by it's surroundings, is not different than us - at least when it comes to relaxing and enjoying the view. Makes you wonder just what they are thinking doesn't it?? The most interesting element for me is this tiny bird in relation to it's surroundings. I think many of us have felt 'very small' at one time or another. What a big world it must be for these small birds. Very well composed, thanks for sharing this one, made me think for a bit about all the 'little wonders' of this Earth for at least a few moments - sometimes we forget. Link to comment
