Thanks... wish I had the ability to portray what it was like to be there. It's hard to compete with nature.

The thumbnail reeled me in and the enlarged view is spectacular.  A gorgeous scene with excellent composition and depth... Mike

Thanks Mike... I've been admiring your stuff for a while now so having you say that means a lot.

An 'Awe-inspiring' composition Brent. The colours are beautiful - not overdone. You do excellent processing. Somehow I would think if I could take images like this, and was a 'Guide' like you - I would have some 'sense of responsibility' in the back of my mind to try to 'translate the image' as best as I can-almost as if I 'owed it to nature'. That probably sounds really odd. But when you are witnessing such a sight - it has to touch your soul very deeply. I am always impressed how well your shadowed areas are seen so well. Excellent work Brent.

I totally understand what you're saying. It's so hard to get a picture that portrays the feeling you have when you're witnessing a site like this. And then you're rushing to photograph it and you miss a little of what's going on because it only lasts a couple of minutes. What I enjoy about landscape photography is trying to capture an image and get it as close as you can to share a little of what the moment was like.... if that makes sense. You have to get lucky once in a while like I did here though. Thanks again for your support and for your comments. Brent

Brent, this is a stunning photo. My wife and I were fortunate to be at a sunset there in 2001.  Your photo is like being there again. Thank you!

Thanks for taking time to comment on my photo. It is truly a special place and I was really lucky with this sunset. I'm convinced you need a little luck to be a really good photographer. (at least I do) Thanks again.

Brent
