Thank you so much for having a look and leaving me with your kind words. When I resized this photo, some of the detail was lost. I don't know how to change that and didn't know any guidelines for staying within a certain size. As it is, I already blew it up some just to give it a square crop. Anyway, I am happy you like it! I have been experimenting with high key lately. Thanks again for your visit and kind comment! :)

Hi Trisha,

Wow.....beautiful creative work!!  I love the shoe I would hate to see me try to walk in them though.   Great work Trisha.  Take care, Patsy

Thanks so much for the kind comment! You're right - I have not been taking many new photos for a while but since I'm taking a break from renovations I hope to take my camera out of hiding and have some fun soon. In the mean time I have been going through old files and this was one I thought worth saving. I'm happy you like it and took the time to share your thoughts with me. Always a pleasure, Jack! :)

PATSY

Thank you for your visit and kind comment! I'm happy you like this one Patsy! These shoes are not that difficult because they are soft on the foot (made of lace) but the heel is a little wide on me so I walk just a little slower. But shoes like these are meant to turn heads so who wants to walk quickly anyway? LOL! I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on this one. :)

A conceptual photo done extremely well. It is a very balanced composition and the see through lace work makes that shadow come alive. The high key works very well too. Well done!.

Ditto all of the above comments. The shadow itself is so interesting and the shoe stands out.

DIMITRIS, BARRY and PIERRE,

Thank you so much for your visits and kind comments! I'm so happy you all like this one with the high key and white background. I did a series of shots of this shoe on a concrete floor but the floor had many divots and uneven textures which I thought was too busy and distracting for the look I wanted to project in this particular photo. The high key seemed to work so I am very happy you like it!

Barry - ditto all the above comments? Even Patsy's? LOL!

Thanks again gentlemen for your kind words! I am very appreciative. :)

Much already said, so I'll just add my appreciation, for all the reasons all the others already gave (though I don't think I'd like wearing this shoe, not my size, but well, apart from that..).

I've seen these shoes before and loved them then. A well thought out capture Trisha. I had a pair of lace stockings very similar to this design once and could have cried when they wore out. I love shoes (My Dad worked in Shoe Stores all his life and did the ordering--I often got sample sizes way back when). This one reminds me of your Dressing Room One folder pics. Nice one that has got many longer for more of your stylish shots!

What strikes me most is the elongated shadow, which works effectively as counterpoint to the shoe. For a "still" life, it has a good amount of dynamism and is anything but . . . pedestrian.

Hi Trisha, a really cool shot! It works in so many ways - a great composition, very artistic and minimalistic, I really like the B/W processing too. A striking image. Best wishes. Sarah.

I also have seen these shoes (on photo.net) and they are even more appealing than before with a creative presentation starting with a diagonal orientation.

A fancy shoe like this with a high heel stirs the imagination to greater heights.

You've done a good job here, Trisha. I like the result, with a strong contrast, a minimalist look, good composition and nice use of black and white! The square format works well too.

Good Work!
