Fanad Lighthouse, County Donegal, Ireland.

This lighthouse is on one of the most northerly headlands (Fanad

Head) in Co. Donegal. I was luck to have been up there on holidays

on such a beautiful day.

How might I have improved this shot. The only editing was an

overall brightness/contrast adjustment to bring out the shadow detail.

The only complain i have is that the horizon is in the center of the image. By better cropping and following the rule of third the composition can be improved.

Tony,   You did an excellent job on this image.  It's tough to create interesting mid-day images, and you have succeeded.  As tourists, we don't always get to pick the ideal time of day to photograph.  I am not bothered by the horizon in the middle because my eye goes to the top of the lighthouse.  It is well positioned at the right toward the top.  The foreground shadows offer effective contrast as well.  Well done.  Larry
