Thanks for your comment. So far this has been a great butterfly season-and these guys are 30 ft. from my back door!  Thanks again, Phil

I like all series you did, butterfly as main subject is so well seen in contrast with flower and bg,soft light you had there is excellent(all the time I prefer like this and not bright one).Blur green bg creates a dreamy mood, like it.

Thank you for your viewing and comment.  I have found photographing them is very rewarding-as well as challenging.  Today in my garden I happened to see two of these Swallowtails together-there wasn't a photo opportunity, but I realized the time I have spent photgraphing them has enhanced my appreciation of their beauty.  Thanks again, Phil

An excellent series but this one catches my attention most.  It's almost like a fine illustration or painting.  Beautiful... Mike

Thanks for viewing and your comment.  Luckily these subjects are literally in my back yard.  Getting good shots and lighting is a real challenge.   It's a lot like trying to make a still life with the subject continuously moving out of the frame.  Thanks again, Phil

It is a beautiful image and the light, subject matter and your ability to capture it professionally is evident in the result. The butterfly is more brightly lit allowing us to focus on it and the rest - the flowers and the background are darker. IMHO - a winner.

Thanks for your viewing and comment.  Trying to achieve images that reflect some sense of their fragility and beauty is a real challenge.  Fortunately as I have noted in earlier posts our garden provides a gathering place for both hummingbirds and butterflies.  Thanks again, Phil
