zvilgsnis 0 Posted October 3, 2003 She is quite known in the city as a beggar who was highlighted once in a leading newspaper. Any comments are very much appreciated. Link to comment
oana_hogrefe 0 Posted October 3, 2003 Interesting body language for both the beggar and the passer-by: the intent gaze of one, the nonchalant indiference of the other.. Link to comment
elaine_roberts1 0 Posted October 3, 2003 While you've caught two different classes in the same frame, I'm not sure that the image actually conveys the insistence of the begger. The two subjects aren't really interacting in any way; she looks to me to be just walking to the right while he walks forward. Also, the composition is divided into two halves - his half and hers, with no real connecting lines between them. I would recommend going out sometime and working some more on this theme. Look for a variety of poses and angles. Try portraying th scene from different perspectives (how is it to the beggar? to the rice man?) Closer is better - don't be timid - faces make the photograph in street shots. Good luck! Link to comment
