I tried a few other compositions (portrait, rule of thirds) but I like this one because of the cloud symmetry and it`s reflection and the fact that they seem to point to the warm bushes on the right side.

Any thoughts?

Clouds symmetry looks very good here,I like how view is leads from large open right to an horizon point,so I think is a very good choice for this composition in this way.

An overwhelming image doesn't need all these rules Tony. It felt "complete" at first sight, and when it does so i would be more than a fool to look for applied rules to verify what an image conveys.

Keep on shooting!!!

The clouds aligned for you, the ice lined up as well, and the warm light is perfect.  Someone up there likes you ;-).  Excellent... Mike

I love the composition, the beautiful reflections on the water are an added plus to the image.  Congratulations.

Very nice. I love the clouds and the reflection of them in the water. Trees on the very right on the picture look a little busy there. Maybe a slight crop?
