WJT 627 Posted October 5, 2003 I can't deny that the colors are great. We are still waiting for the color peak here in Ohio. The sinuous road really makes the photograph an eye catcher. For me, however, I wish that it was not a contemporary asphalt road. Brick, cobbles, gravel, dirt; anything but asphalt pavement. The romanticism of the image would be greater without that mundane pavement. Just my opinion. As far as the cropping, it is perfectly fine as it is. Regards. Link to comment
jacoangeli 0 Posted October 5, 2003 its too late for me to make comments but your marvellous picture is good without any cropping ! Fab Link to comment
margaret_s. 0 Posted October 5, 2003 Walter, I know what you mean about the gravel road. Yet there's something about the paved road that doesn't bother me, I almost like it perhaps because the painted lines make the curved shape stand out more than a dirt road would. The mood created is obviously very different than if it had been an old dirt road... oh, and then add a bit of mist or fog perhaps.. well, I could go on! However considering I was just in the area for a short time and happen to come across this road quite by chance, I figure this is about as good as it gets.. until I find a different road! Thanks again for stopping by. Your comments are always welcome and appreciated. Link to comment

stan_z 0 Posted October 5, 2003 I vote for uncropped. It makes me want to go for a drive and from that perspective it's all about the mystery of what's after the hill. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted October 6, 2003 Not wishing to place a "vote", let me just say, Margaret, that the curving road is sexy :-) Link to comment
