I was in a small boat with an outboard engine which was filled to capacity with 18 people. We had left the Guatemalan sea cost and we were going inland an up the Rio (River) Dulce.  All the green reflected in the clean river water. The walls on either were quite high and I understand that it was lime stone but it was not easy to spot since it was well covered with green vegetation. 

 

What you are seeing is coconut trees.

Mike - thanks. Not lots here to interest people but I really liked the rich back-lit greenery.
