Late Afternoon in July

That trellis/gate just begs you to come stand under it, in the liminal space.

Your basic, garden variety picture. Nothing spectacular in this bucolic scene, a trellis gate, a fence, some trees. It doesn't even seem sentimental like a Hallmark moment. It just is what it is and that's perhaps why I like it.

Thanks, guys.  I like this scene, although I don't think that this shot does it justice.  As for the technical stuff, the depth of field is shallower than I would like, but it is like that because I opened up the aperture (almost all the way), since I was shooting in low light without a tripod.  I had turned up the ISO to 1600, which is about as high as I like to shoot with this camera.
