There may be 'bits' of me that she has inherited, but she is far prettier than I was at her age :). This was taken a couple years ago. Right now she is getting so tall. Already taller than Shauna, really long legs.  Shaelyn's 14th Birthday is next month :)

Thank you for that lovely remark Alf.  It seemed like this hot afternoon that we spent at Shauna's a few summer's ago was only a few months ago.  She will be in High School this September.....then the time will really go by fast! And Grandma will worry more!!

I hope she likes it.  I have not had a chance to ask her. She usually likes most of what I do. Many thanks for your positive feedback Patsy.

Yes, they do grow up quickly, and you would know that for sure!! The original isn't too bad. It was hot and humid in their apartment, Shaelyn was just to the left of their big fan that was helping to cool things down.  She has changed so much since even this shot was taken.

Thanks for your encouraging thoughts Larry.  Actually the 'pattern' was not in her top.  It was a Layer of a Paper texture that I have and decided to try to add to the composition. The colour version is interesting as well.  I toned this one down quite a bit.  I don't mind running plug-ins as long as they do not overpower the image.  I think I will probably do a few different versions of this in the future.

Each of you have expressed your thoughts on this composition and it is so nice to hear that they were positive.  I was not too sure of it at first.
