sydney_ricks 0 Posted March 5, 2015 This was my first time shooting with my Nikon d7100 and 50mm 1.8. I'm open to any critique as I am beginning to pursue an education and career in photography. I love portrait photography and want to develop a unique, but appealing style. Link to comment
GerrySiegel 868 Posted March 6, 2015 Perhaps try lowering the camera and even shooting up angle for some faces. Hunched shoulders are usually not well received by subjects, Any start is a good start. On focus point, Viewpoints vary about face shots....Eyes look in focus but back of head was not, unless you prefer that. I personally do not got to say. Best to you Sydney...PS. Make subject comfortable whatever it takes. She does not look too happy wherever she is placed here....try different settings and props and outfits is something to experiment with, as you surmise.... montivipera 0 Posted March 6, 2015 Technically a good shoot. I think a little less space above her head would improve it. Sincerely Magnus Link to comment
