The glare of the flash and the light fall-off make that dead eye all the more chilling. On one level this is an interesting study in curves, the jaw line complimenting the curve of the eye.

Very nice detail picture, your flash is spoiling it a bit, though! Maybe a use of ring flash just from one side could do better, avoid the reflection, that is!

Best regards, Jack

Truly, the eye of the beholder.  The features displayed in this image easily could belong to an extraterrestrial species.  The colors lure me as much as the eye.

Ordinarily I don't like to exploit puns.  But clearly the eye belongs to you.  You saw photographic potential in this subject, and you actualized it.  Amazing...

Oh, I see! Next time you must buy it in order to bring to decent light, Jack!

I didn't know it was taken in the shop!

Cheers

P.S. Unless you have a nice polarizer with you!

Hi Jack:

Abstractness in a most concrete, cold, hard reality. One has to carefully observe this image (which is always a pleasure to do with high-quality photography) to finally realize the teeth. The dominant blue color and overblown white play an interesting role in disguising the eye. Your challenge to the observer is always a plus.

Best regards.

The colour and grungy feel suits this capture well. Poor fish, looks scared of you - kind of like a 'deer in the headlights' situation.
