AlainD 0 Posted February 17, 2015 Great tones and clever composition creating an interesting feeling of depth! I'm a bit disturbed by the relatively bright upper right corner though. I might have added some vignetting there, but of course it is a matter of taste.Best regards,Alain Link to comment
JeffBryce 0 Posted February 17, 2015 Hi Alain, I appreciate your constructive criticism-- both positive and negative. Fortunately, as you mention, the negative can be easily corrected with minor editing! Regards, Jeff Link to comment
JeffBryce 0 Posted March 19, 2016 Thanks for looking Tony. This was a morning in Feb 2015. The ice chunks were on the east side of the beach, and the sun and clouds collaborated so nicely. Was there a few weeks ago (March 2016) and the chunks were on the west shore. And, unfortunately, a hit-&-miss with lighting. I tried to work with what was presented-- Jökulsárlón Gems. thadley 15 Posted March 22, 2016 I would have had so much fun here. For a portrait mode I would have chosen one of those ice chunks - maybe get down low and let the sun shine through one chunk. So many possibilities! All the best, Link to comment
JeffBryce 0 Posted March 22, 2016 Tony, there is a vertical in my other Iceland folder; in fact, you commented on it last year. It is a bit closer. These chunks are quite small-- perhaps the size of a cantaloupe (which you can likely judge by comparing them to the size of the smaller rocks and grains of sand)-- and so getting down lower would mean that the camera would almost be sitting on the sand! Yes, this was a fun morning and the beach was jammed with photographers. As you can imagine, this can limit one's composition choices. Regards, Jeff Link to comment
