What a surprising and effective pairing, Carlos. Seeing the dog and the baby in such an intimate yet unconventional relationship, extending not only to species and the feeling of mirror images, but also to the equal division of the red cushion and the blue cloth produces an oddly emotional response that is not limited to the particular and the personal and transcends obvious categories, something more worthy of contemplation. For me, it removes cuteness from the equation and replaces it with a sense of wonder.

I will just watch them sleep...

... and will kiss them both when they are awake...

I've been looking at Billy K's recent two-image uploads and this seems like your own take on the two-image idea, but taken as one. Nicely divided not only by geometry but by color as well. Yet the connection is there in terms of tenderness and tiredness. Each in their own world, their positioning and posture indicating anything but intimacy, except as found through the eyes and composing by the photographer, which binds them beyond their separateness.

Love the color, sensitivity and study of two innocents. Beautiful
