Needs more contrast.

Love the effect but the eyes look dead which detracts from the whole.

Good attempt. I would suggest a little more contrast and some sharpen.

I agree it may need a little more contrast, but I would not sharpen more.I kind of like the soft effect.

however, my only temptation would be to knock it off balance with a different crop...and another element to pull it in motion.

This is very nice, Chris. I would not have thought (just by looking) that it was a Pencil-Sketch conversion--the filter is used very tastefully. Aesthetically, my first impression was "More Contrast please", but after a moment, I think the soft grays work well here. (BTW: I think you could have done the same effect with a Red filter, soft lights and TMax 100 film.) Nice shot. cc
