michaellinder 16,613 Posted February 17, 2015 The bride as ballerina - an intriguing story augmented by the detail in the dress and veil and also by the rich, dark tones. Link to comment
jordan2240 89 Posted February 17, 2015 It's a beautiful shot, but for me, the pose evokes a feeling that she's going to be sacrificed, which I guess she is in a sense, but it just feels a bit eerie to me. Perhaps I would like it better if the groom was behind her, with his shoulder supporting her head. Regardless, it's a very unique wedding shot, and I can't imagine the bride not liking it. Beautiful detail and tones, as Michael points out. Link to comment
von_mcknelly 48 Posted February 18, 2015 Great location for this type of image. The wardrobe styling and lighting is magazine quality. I'll have to agree with Bill Jordan when it comes to the pose. It is a bit over exaggerated, unless of course she has just be stood up at the alter. I do realize that there may have been restrictions as to which angle to shoot from and I'm sure this was shot from many angles but for me...I prefer an up shot rather than a down shot. With that said, I still think it's a beautiful image worthy of a brides wedding album. Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted February 20, 2015 Very beautiful image, it just never occur to me that it's a wedding shot. Love it though! TFS! Link to comment
michaellinder 16,613 Posted February 20, 2015 Had Dmytro shot this photo from below, we wouldn't be seeing the bride's face. The result would have been materially different. Link to comment
Tony Brandstetter 814 Posted February 21, 2015 Wedding photography is so tough, trying to stand out in a sea of people with cameras makes it difficult.I have to agree, it is an awkward position she is in and what I don't feel comfortable with the way she is positioned disrupts the flow.
