An extraordinary image, in every respect imaginable . . . To my favorites it goes, . . ., now.

I like the range of grays and the composition that leads the viewer into the image.

It is also an unusual subject that you manage to make interesting.

Dear Marco, I see a very successful use of monochrome, helps us not to be distracted by details and only look for the linear perspective. The channel occupies the entire width of the image at foreground, converging away and these slightly curved lines give charm.

I get cold just looking at frozen water and I keep thinking how then they will empty them, sure there must be a drain plug. Don't know... :)

Linearity, the distance at the bottom, all in hopes of better seasonal time ... like sleeping, is impressive. Very good choice of perspective and lights are very good, no flashing, no bother, highlights well managed.

I love seeing an image and thinking, somethings wrong here...out of place or shouldn't be there. Boats half submerged in icy water definitely catches my eye. Gray scale and composition, top shelf Marco.
