energetic and youthful a photograph, energetic as the heroes themselves, and what a fashion minded bunch they are --- you gotta love the kid center stage so sure he is of himself and why shouldn't he be with movie star good looks and all, hands in pockets so solid almost arrogant, and the phenomenal foot work placement has to be choreographed...
Shooting from below is a technique you use very well and I like how you showcase it here, how low below often creates dynamic and compelling space. But you need fill the space with a photograph, and here you do it generously. I like this pic in all sorts of ways beyond the framing tricks. The main star in this show for instance, so reminds me of the rosy cheeked youngsters portrayed in the old Mao Tse-tung propaganda posters, hyper healthy and confident, a dreamy look toward the future, hair wind blown... I like it when a picture awakes a memory, is generous that way, and hilarious!

Well, Carlos puts me to shame for my meager comments, but I'll try to make a contribution: First for me is what a great portrait of the young man! Youth, optimism and comfortable in himself. This looks like there's a que to buy tickets for a concert and the heroes in the center of the frame have got theirs and are pleased about it. Nice capture.

yes that arrogance with a touch of humility works here.   the adidas the ugg boots and that guy on the catwalk. i really enjoy the background as well.  they are there  we see them buy you and everything else around them is invisible. there is only one person in this photo he knows it.. he is the greatest!

I consider it an accomplishment when someone as photogenic as this and with such star quality can be utilized to a photographer both for what he has to offer in that "star" direction but also to aid the telling of a story in a photograph. In this case, you get personality, movement, contemplation, and it also has the chops of a good street photo, as if just grabbed. People, even when supposedly being themselves and spontaneous often tend to pose without even realizing it, though someone this good looking may well have a poseur kind of attitude more than most. When I see people smoking on the street, with almost predictable gestures and attitude, I wonder how much art imitates life or life imitates art. Lovers in the park . . . do they influence or are they in some sense created by Hollywood? A friend said to me early on in my shooting that when I can give something special to a classically good looking guy beyond just the good looks, I will have made a memorable photo. That's what you've done.

Carlos, I will keep coming back not only to look at Jack's picture but to read your wonderful comment!
