ron_van_santen 0 Posted September 29, 2003 The quiteness of the forest is teased against the swirling reflection. An unexpected contrast of stillness against subtle movement that creates visual contrast. OUTSTANDING! Link to comment

We must remember to do everything we can to preserve the fantastic nature that we are lucky to have around us. This is definitely a place that I will come back to and probably nevermore get this kind of "near nature" on an image again :) Thanks again for your supporting comments !! Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted September 24, 2007 I think this image is an excellent example of what can be done with a smaller format camera. While the masses march towards DSLR cameras it is work like this that should encourage more photographers to look at their cameras as a tool rather than as a status symbol. To me, the choice of using this camera has enabled a depth of field not easilly available to larger recording fomats (even with tilts and swings). As a landscape photographer using film and digital I'm often torn between recording sizes. Larger formats give detail and smaller formats give depth. But as is so well demonstrated here the flexibility of use of the smaller format can be a distinct creative advantage. Its so nice to see alternative perspectives other than what we see when we're standing up photographed so well. So many elements in this make it good, the combination of all of them makes it great. this is one that i'd be happy to hang on my walls and say "Ohh, yes, I took that one" Link to comment
cguaimare 0 Posted September 24, 2007 I spend a lot of time everyday in photonet. Sometimes I say to myself... you are wasting time!. And then a picture makes you think about it again. Pictures like this really, like love, makes you happy. I wish my english was better to describe the feelings this photo aroused in me. Thank you for giving us this present! Link to comment
