Back at you with the New Years wish.  I was generally pleased with this result, likely my final post of 2014, until I visited this one that I see you are already familiar with.  Oh well, one can always dream.  :-)  Thanks for your most welcome visit.  See you in 2015.  Best, LM.

Hi Len,

Very rich color and sharp detail caught my eye. One can almost feel the velvety texture of the petals. I wish you and your family a great New Year Len.

Best Always,

Holger

The colours are the strong points, I admit.  I won't talk about the weak points.  :-)  Happy New Year to you as well & thanks for your visit.  Best,  LM.

A lovely catch - the blue is rich and regal and when combined with the yellow makes for a very appealing color combo.  I am not sure if you took this flash but that tends to highlight the details and that can be a good and/or a bad thing.

All the very best,

No flash.  Taken by window light alone.  Any impact is likely due solely to the colour combination.  Just a fun way to pass some time while it snows wildly outside.  :-)  Thanks for your interest.  Best, LM.

LEN, OF COURSE, IT IS BEAUTIFUL WITH RICH COLORS, ETC; BUT, TO ME THE YELLOW HIGHLIGHTS ARE A DISTRACTION TO THE WONDERFUL DETAIL IN THE CENTER; EXCELLENT COLOR SEPARATION AND TONES.,

Are you suggesting a crop to eliminate the yellow parts? (pistil?)  Not sure how I'd do that.  It was the play of complimentary colors that prompted me to crop in the manner I did.  If it's only the highlights on the yellow parts that you refer to perhaps there is a PS solution.  Feel free to crop & post your version if you'd like.  Whatever, I thank you for taking the time to offer your critique.  Best, Len.
