pnital 36 Posted December 27, 2014 I was not active lately, as I was terribly busy . Photographing 3 new dances and Barrocada consert with the Tel Aviv kamerata choral in the Tel aviv art museum Add to this 5 exhibitions that two of them are still open..I'm as well in the middle of a huge PP work...BUT, I really missed my PN friends, so here is the first of them.. The choreographer is Sally Ann Friedland's work., and it is executed in two parts. The fiirst is called : Mrs. Icarus., and is sally's own part edited by Liat Freund a video artist. http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=9761925 The second part is called Me@May and was performed by a young dancer : May Armon. The choreography which was done for the- Choreographers Society- was beautifuly created by Sally- Ann and perfectly performed by May.So here is some examples of May dancing.. Link to comment
joaodebarros 1 Posted December 27, 2014 Icarus is also about ...my work (air navigation). I like the name and I also like your photo Pnina: misty and with different possible interpretations, well done! Best regards. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 27, 2014 The second part ,as it is quite a longer part I will upload only 3 -4 movements of the whole Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 27, 2014 another one , it is my impressions , as Sally explained it to me as a" pure" dance , but May is such a talent,, and Sally is a skiled choreographer, so I had to tell my feelings about the hidden meaning of the whole creation.. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 27, 2014 continued tomorrow ,as it was a long day near the computer...but it is such a beauty... Link to comment

michaellinder 16,613 Posted December 29, 2014 A marvelous series of images . . . I'm not well versed enough when it come to dance forms, but intuitively I think I understand Sally's use of "pure dance." It seems to me that the phrase applies most appropriately to the last image in the series, the lighting and motion effects of which enable a viewer to consider the myth of Daedulus and Icarus as an element of the dance itself. pnital 36 Posted January 1, 2015 Thanks both of you. and a happy new year to both of you and your families.. Michael, thanks as well for writting your point of vew, which is a good one as well. What I wanted to express with the last photo of MAY , was, closing an imaginative circular way, as Sally performing as Mrs. Icarus was behind the veiled cover, and May entering from the RHS, and being seen covered as well...with the small form of a button,.so it was realy her ( mine) imaginative way toward Mrs. Icarus......and closing the small story , as the whole of it in my own way....;-))working with Sally's choreography and er point of view and adding my commentary... jeffl7 0 Posted January 8, 2015 An unusual series of contortions. The original shot seems quite hallucinogenic in terms of expression and colors. Always a pleasure! Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted January 23, 2015 The photo at the top, even at a small size on the screen, feels big. It would make a great poster size print. Has a good energy, almost apparition-like in nature. I like the scale of the bottle relative to the size of the face. And the folds of the curtain obscure just enough to give it a kind of mystique. The dance series below provides an interesting body study of the dancer, almost yoga-like in approach and feel. The super orange-saturated light especially of the first few gives it an almost burning feel for me. A couple of the poses are quite blatant and even confrontational, while others are much more passive. You've presented a nice array of moments to lead our imaginations as to what the choreographer and dancer were doing. Link to comment
