yes, this is very well done Jack. Beautiful, and i mean esthetically instantly obvious, but also technically just right, make for a real fine winter picture.

Thanks for your comments on this picture. This was last February; we don't get that much snow in Osaka but when it comes everyone loses their mind. Of course being from San Francisco and Honolulu, snow makes me feel like a kid. Carlos, got a Gary Winogrand photo book for Xmas. What a superb street photographer he was. I'm sure he'll have an influence on my street photos. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you both.

An excellent impressionist rendering of a very cold day.  I wonder if the white umbrellas are all from the same place.  

Marvelous winter urban shot! The fact that all heads in the shot are covered by umbrellas an no face is shown, makes the composition brilliant! Winter, show, isolated city life, physically close bodies but truly distant faceless souls...Very strong! It really makes one think...
