Nice lighting. Great catchlights. My only negative is that her head looks a bit awkward at that tilt. Otherwise, quite nice.

Excellent tones and lighting. I would agree though that her head looks a little akward. She looks kind of tense. Since the model happens to be your wife, perhaps a shoulder massage before the next shooting would help ;-)

It might be worth experimenting with alternative croppings

(top edge too tight? model's nose dead center in photo).

I commented on your second photo first not knowing this is your wife. I hope i did not offend you or your wife. I find this one much more pleaseing to look at. Makes me wonder whats on her mind ? I think the lighting on this one is much better. Congrats

This does not look like a posed shot to me. It looks very natural. You have caught the essence of who she is - thoughtful, caring. I get the feeling this is her own natural body language. If you observed her in her daily life, I feel as though you would catch her in this pose more frequently than you might guess. This is a very nice photo.
