Red Panda - Bronx Zoo NYC

nice taken character of panda but right side of the photo is distracting and seems unsharp as the body does not belong to the animal. Also distant tree on the right

Nice Red Panda shot. I've tried many many times unsuccessfully to get one of these seemingly shy creatures on film at the Detroit Zoo. It sees me with my camera and runs.

 

I agree that the right side of this is a bit distracting. I'm not sure if the 3MP resolution of the Coolpix will allow a larger crop of just the head, but it might be worth it to look into that.

I agree that the right side is a bit busy and that cropping it would lead to a more asthetically pleasing picture (as cropped above). I, however, felt almost obligated to show the scale/size of the animal. Hell I didn't know pandas came in red till I saw this one. lol. Without a sense of scale of the body the face could pass as a ferret with a dye job
