Hello Jack:

Ahhh.....I was eager and craving to see what your December collection brought, and as expected, something smashing came forth, swiftly. Limited choices indeed! But more than that, your very personal seal for conveying something special and noteworthy of "simple" subjects. The scratches around the coin slot are, to me, what makes this image, it is the highlight, not leaving out of course, the "frosted" glass. So, again, you kindly provided your audience with something to enjoy, palate and savor.....which you do so finely through photography!

Best personal regards for this Holiday Season and best wishes.

DG

Reminds me of the Far Side panel where the guy gets to hell, and there are two doors, "Damned If You Do" and "Damned If You Don't", and he hesitates, of course, but devil pkes him in the back saying "Come on, come on, we don't have all day!"

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated.

Holger - I'll second your comment re the political situation. Not much to choose from if you're interested in real choice or change.

Daniel - Thanks for your very nice review. I love to find these antiquated survivors from a simpler era. They kind of remind me of myself, very basic in function but still plugging along. It's good to be back from vacation and involved with pn again. As you probably noticed, I was pretty dormant on the road. Took some pictures though and will post a few when I have time to survey what I have netted.

Edward - Thanks for the response. It made me smile, too.

Emmanuel - The Far Side is a personal favorite. I've shown the cartoons to my students but they usually don't get the jokes which spring from a certain slightly warped and culturally specific point of view. Your story made me laugh, though, and that's always a good way to start the day (It's 5:30 am here. I start my pn day early).

Ehehehe...great title.  Rigid crop and frame and that coldness...all thing looks like is going to bite you if you dare even to think :)))
