you mean by miracle, the one of being alive?
pertinent observation for some who exist in the world maybe a little arrogant, a little indifferent to the privilege of being in the world, unawares of how transient it all is, how fleeting is the joy of simply being alive alive and hopefully healthy. Maybe just the elder get that.

this picture is alive, Sensei and I loves the atmosphere and the fun of danger and the sort of cinema i get from the frame. The dude standing out back in uniform with hands behind his back, somewhat upset somehow, or at least he don't seem disposed towards your picture taking shenanigans. Some sort of tension is in the air... Maybe its confusing for some of the local citizens to negotiate a white devil with a camera...

the hyper green is a cool unexpected tone for public transport upholstery..

Thanks for your reactions to this picture which were pretty much what I had in mind when I posted it. I believe there are two qualities that will serve a person well in life. One is humility and the other is appreciation. Too often we believe we absolutely deserve what we have been given (and in fact deserve even more) and even more frequently fail to appreciate the unbelievable richness of the world with which we have been blessed, lost in the labyrinth of our own distracted lives.

Well said Jack and your image shows those sentiments. These are some of my favorite images by you. To clarify, the train and its passengers and the life elements in and around it. It's true we go through our days taking so much for granted and expect even more. I'm grateful for shots like this, that can ground us even if just for a little while. Take care.

Best Always,

Holger

Yes very well said Jack. I think of these things daily and express thanks for so many things. In an instant we could be homeless, walking a wasteland, who knows for sure? I am not thinking negatively, but merely expressing what so many experience on this planet and we often do not give them a thought or it is too comfortable 'to go there'. Many thanks for reminding us, but also for expressing your appreciation as well.

best always, Gail
