lisa_m._holley 0 Posted September 23, 2003 Getting a good look at the train tracks in Fort Payne. Just needed a closer look and wanted to try something different with my camera. Any thoughts or suggestions welcomed. Lisa Link to comment
jim schwaiger 0 Posted September 23, 2003 This may sound a little obvious (don't take this the wrong way), but when you compose an image, point the camera towards the interesting looking things, and away from distracting things. Power lines are generally distracting while rock structures are generally interesting, hint hint. Link to comment
lisa_m._holley 0 Posted September 24, 2003 Jim, you are so right...but my boyfriend took this picture with my camera...what can I say? He was trying to copy another shot of mine in my train folder...LOL And really even with the building there you wouldn't get an interesting view of anything else...kind of like this shot. BORING! 8*) I had to post something, though. Link to comment
michael_ward1 0 Posted September 24, 2003 The building on the right looks interesting enough that I want to see more of it. Turning the camera toward the structure would place something worth seeing in the frame, and also put a more pleasing angle on that track. Link to comment
fred_j._lord 0 Posted September 24, 2003 it's just that the power lines pull me up short on this one. Railroad tracks are always beckoning to me as well. It seems if you follow them far enough something interesting will turn up at the end. Link to comment
kkwan 0 Posted September 24, 2003 Those train tracks are great lead in lines and takes the eyes right to the back of the image. But I agree that the content can be improved. The horizontal wires in the middle of the frame does block the flow of the image somewhat. Link to comment
