Jack, I immediately saw a very weathered antenna on a space probe, pummeled by micrometeorites after decades in deep space.  Perhaps that's what your title refers to.  The probe looks like it has gathered some alien moss.  If the background were darker, or maybe vignetted a bit, it may look more like deep space - but as it is, it does provide contrast for the antenna.  Excellent work.

I didn't say before, but I really like the psychedelic colors on that soda can all blurred in the background. It just goes with the overall other-worldly tenor of the shot.
