jdsmall 0 Posted September 26, 2003 I really like the composition and the subtle colors. Link to comment
jimvanson 0 Posted September 28, 2003 Superb photograph that at first glance shouldn't work but comes on very strong after that. Initially I was disturbed by the dark outboard curtains...I thought crop them out...I'm wrong...composition and exposure are very good. One question...have you played with the color balance to attempt to remove some of the green? Regardless...well done! Link to comment
lukedavis 0 Posted September 28, 2003 Beautiful; this is my favorite photo from your portfolio. The pastel green of the window sill works very well with the dark greenish brown of the subject's shirt and with the same greenish brown of the curtains. The light blue clouds in the background also work well with the aforementioned greens. The balanced, geometric composition (with the black rectangles on the sides of the frame going vertically and the two green window 'bars' going horizontally across the frame) adds a lot too. In short, really cool shot. Link to comment
oliver_tan1 0 Posted September 30, 2003 I haven't really played with the color of it because this is a straight scan from a negative film. But I will keep in mind suggestions from all of you and play with it in photoshop. I did print it in school and the blue cast disappeared on me. The green popped even more and the yellow became more saturated. (I'm only taking color 1 so I'm still learning about color balance). Link to comment
