30-minute exposure + 120 mins. spent researching the green glow. Per Don Hampton, UAF's Geophysical Institute: Airglow: a chemical process where a reaction between oxygen molecules & atoms produce an oxygen atom in an excited state that releases light.

There was also regional sheet lightening out Susanville way. View orientation N-NE from June's patio, pine tree silhouettes, Lassen National Forest, southern Cascade Mountain Range, Warner Valley Road, Chester, California -- 16mm DX lens, 30 minute clock exposure @ f/2.8, ISO 100, long NR "ON," ISO NR "off"
