Manmouth Sunset

Started landscape photography a few months ago and really want to improve.

Critiques from any perspectives are very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Judging from this photo, you are on the right track. Nice subject, sufficient detail in the foreground dark area, tree nicely placed off center. Not so sure about the bluish tones which are dominant in this photo, but certainly a good start. Good luck and show us more.

Nice sharpness. and DOF. I share Dani's concern about the preponderance of blue tones.

Thanks Dani and Jim. You know, the so-called "blue hour" got its name for a reason. I actually waited until that moment to come, knowing it was going to be a long drive from Manmouth to the hotel 30 minutes away from the West Gate, and I needed to get up early, like really early, to catch the first light the next day. I was glad the nature didn't disappoint me. 

WB was 3400K. I knew raising it to 3500K would eliminate the blue tone. You could guess that I didn't do it :-)
