diegobuono 3 Posted December 26, 2014 I would appreciate your critiques and opinion on this infrared film picture of the Racetrack playa (Death valley national park) Link to comment
cegeiss 6 Posted December 26, 2014 I ,love the composition and tonality. Placing a major object straight in the middle often leads to boring images, but here that's not the case at all. I think the rock placed in the cener iis nicely offset by the S-shaped trail and the asymmetric clouds. I also like the high contrast, combined with the fact that you still have texture in the clouds and the dark mountains in the background. And, yes, I am a sucker for the square format as well - so, what more to say. :-)A great image! Link to comment

davidmccracken 2 Posted December 27, 2014 I am left wondering if you dragged the rock to create the 'tracks' or whether someone else did this and you 'happened' upon it. No matter what, it is an impressive shot. Link to comment
diegobuono 3 Posted December 27, 2014 Thanks you all for your kind comments, I do appreciate it.David, no one dragged the rock, that is a natural phenomenon that happens in the "racetrack playa" where many rocks move over the ground due to the strong wind, muddy ground and ice water that helps the rocks to stay afloat. There are many many rocks and many many track, ence the name "racetrack playa".You can see more in my portfolio, herehttp://photo.net/photos/diegobuonoJust scroll down untill "Deat valley 2014".
