There's something winning about both the picture and the smile.. Again there is a certain gawky roughness to it that is actually charming.

Thanks, I like that... "gawky roughness".  That's good.  It aptly describes my approach to most candid street snaps, which really isn't a premeditated approach at all.  It's an intuitive, reflexive reaction, an attempt to convey the spontaneity of the moment and my own awkward sense of wonder, discomfort and delight in finding these brief moments.
