For some reason Peter, Paul and Mary come to mind ;-).  Good shot... Mike

Yah, ''Leaving on a Jet Plane".  Or, The Fifth Dimension. ("Up, up, and Away").  :-)  This is one where the story may be more interesting than the image:  I was photographing my grandson's soccer game, half time came & thus the opportunity to do a bit of chimping to see the results thus far.  I happened to look up & there was this jet streaking across a clear blue sky.  I had the 55-200 mm mounted so zoomed out to 200mm for this result.  Expectations were low.   Had it tucked away, forgotten for a few months when boredom set in & I went back to reconsider some original discards.  I thought the photoshopped black sky & conversion to B&W made for more drama.  I'm attaching the original, adjusted only for size,  for some perspective.  Best, LM.

Your processing has made all the difference here. Really nicely done.

Thanks for joining the discussion.  The original was uninspiring but effective in testing the ability of my lens to focus at infinity.  I had to dig for the gold.  Best, LM.

Hi Len,

Wonderful creative image, that is perfect in b/w.  Great work!!  Take care, Patsy

I didn't have this in mind when I took it so, yes, I'll take credit for being a bit creative.  More like lucky. :-)  I liked the look of the B&W rendition best.  Thanks for your interest.  Best, LM.

Yeah, the B&W makes for quite an arresting image.  Just goes to show what can be found when going through old stuff!

Good to hear from you again!  It's been a while.  See my reply to Jack regarding 'digging out the gold'.  I hate to throw any files out (delete) as I occasionally am able to recover something worthwhile that I didn't see at the time of exposure.  Makes for a cluttered hard drive, but then,  they ARE cheap. :-)  Best, LM.
