Corn

Good, graphic picture taken at a nice angle. The parts - grass, corn, sky and clouds - all compliment each other. This almost feels like a train rushing by. One thing that bothers me a little is the slight blur at the very end of the row of dried corn. It feels a bit artificial (perhaps it's natural, I don't know).

I like the graphic quality of this one too.  I see you shot at f 1.8, which explains the shallow dof.  Doesn't bother me because I probably would have experimented in much the same way.  I think sharp all the way down would be very nice too.  20 years ago or more this softness would have been considered a major flaw, but today I see much more experimentation with lens qualities and I do it myself a lot more than when I shot with a 4x5 and tried to get absolutely everything in focus, which you could with the swings and tilts of the cameras.

Steve, I think that "rushing train" feeling (exactly what I was looking for) would not happen had I stopped down. Its even more dramatic when you see it in print.  Make you you view this large (click on it).
