kidding me!  I rated this photo (6 BTW) and then I saw that it had an average rating of 4.5???  I fully understand that art is subjective and some people get it and some do not, however, this particular image, if for no other reason than the extreme amount of originality should average AT LEAST a 5!  It seems that if the shot isn't an extreme example of the outstanding colors that nature will display from time to time the landscape photographs just do not rate well.  I would love to hear what people see wrong with this shot, since most people will not leave comments it makes it hard to know what they see.  Anyway, sorry for my rant but I needed to get that off my chest :-) LOL  Again, great shot and wonderful presentation.

You have endorsed my own feelings of the value of the Photo.Net ratings. You find members who seldom send a photo to be rated, however have rated thousands of photos themselves. Others again give low ratings but do not put their name next to it, so as to allow those they have rated to see the their work and compare. Some see the photos as being entered as for a competition. Very seldom positive comments are given to advise and not to criticise.

I joined PN not for the ratings but to see photos of members all over the world. Places, incidents and events I would never could see otherwise. Also being fortunate to travel widely, to share my photos with those not as fortunate as myself.
