gajbarker 0 Posted September 21, 2014 Hi Edward,I am guessing that it may be a 1961 Ford Thunderbird. Except for the trunk, and from this angle it looks pretty good for it's age. Best wishes. Link to comment
gregverena 348 Posted September 21, 2014 couldn't pinpoint the date, but looks like a T-bird to me too. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted September 22, 2014 It's a tough call. 1961 - 1963 Thunderbirds were virtually identical from the rear view. The most notable difference is the light assembly. I'm going to call this a 1962 since the center protrusion in the light is a slightly larger diameter than what I see on the 1961 and the 1963 light is more ornate. But then, I could be wrong ;-)... jim_j2 9 Posted September 22, 2014 Definately one of the early 60's generation of Ford Thunderbirds. Like Mike or Garry indicate, either a 61 or 62 would be my guess too without making some phone calls and further research. I think Mike's got it though (He's older than me, . . . I think!) with the way the center of the taillight lens appears to protrude. Both years were very similiar when viewed from the rear. I'm pretty sure that's not a 63 taillight lens. Don't know what the production numbers were but, I do know that this one being a Convertible would make it more desirable for restoration. Could be a Gold mine (or, a Money Pit) in disquise! I certainly like the Cobblestone Street setting! Cheers,Jim j. Link to comment
