LenMarriott 9 Posted December 30, 2014 I just finished post processing the shots I took of OUR African Violets & used that tag to find this shot of yours. I will now delete mine! :-) Just kidding of course but you've set the bar awfully high here. This is a gorgeous image so nicely exposed & composed with a clarity one is unlikely to achieve with the kit lenses I possess. Of course, kit lenses aren't designed for macro close-ups such as you have here. A plus is the fact that the two predominate colours here compliment each other so well, adding to the visual contrast & providing high impact. Great lighting too. I suspect soft but directional window light. Bottom line: you've inspired me to try again to get the best image I can with the lenses I have. Happy New Year! LM. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted January 4, 2015 Thanks for the personal note. (email) Feel free to include the updated data here so others can benefit from it. I found it most informative & will investigate the 'stacking' technique you referred to. Gotta love this site for the people like you who are willing to share their secrets. Best, LM. Link to comment
