JohnWebster 3 Posted September 7, 2014 This is a beautiful shot, as is. The long lens adds a bit of atmospheric haze to the image and reduces the contrast slightly. I wanted to compare the difference between your original and an adjustment with a bit more contrast on her (leaving the contrast untouched in the background) and dodging her eyes a bit. I used the history brush in photoshop to return some of the dark areas to the original tones. This sort of thing is a matter of personal preference and not so much a matter of improving it up technically---more like moving it sideways technically. Ah, the thousands of possibilities! wimputs 1 Posted September 8, 2014 Thank you John.A bit more contrast is indeed better.With eyes I am always conservative, because most off the portraits I see the eyes are overdone. Then it looks unnatural. But this is oké. Link to comment
