Apart from the technical side that is very good, for me the best of the work is the idea you've used. It's spliting hairs very good, the way of wanting to measure time itself, which is the one that measure ourselves. The idea is chapeau!

The idea is simple, what importance time has to us or to anyone particularly or to the existence itself! That would be all and I think the commentators above understood it and gave me their opinion about the matter! Only you didn't give me your attitude about the weight of time, but you said something very interesting instead (or in that regard), the measuring of ourselves!

Chapeau is hat and it means hat off, but you should know better for your language is in the same group of languages as French, mine isn't!

I wanted to say: chapeau! meaning Bravo! for french people  :)

I was claiming credit for your achievement, for your idea.

We two come from the Indoeuropean and Centum languages. I... from Italic languages, you... from Germanic ones, but...

With William the Conqueror, there was an astounding loan of french words into the english language. So we've got similar words :)

enter into a room (germanic origin - come into) / entrer dans la chambre FR / entrar en la habitación ES

You speak many words due to this period, 1066. We've got many things in common!

Dear Laura,

Don't worry, the writing here is unlimited and at least as long as you are paying the "taxes" you will be allowed to write on any subject! My language is in the group of Slavic languages, but I happen to be also a linguist type of a mind and learned a lot of languages including Esperanto and German! Alas, nothing left in the content between my ears!

I recommend you "Problems in the origins and development of the English language" by John Algeo.

In my opinion, it's the best. Very interesting to read.

According to him, Slavic languages are: Polish, Czech, Slovak, Rusian, Slovenian etc.

English has a west Germanic origin.

Slavic languages are numerous and mine I consider the Macedonian, Serbian and Croatian because I speak them equally well, not to say perfectly cause nothing is perfect!
