This conjures up all sorts of thoughts and feelings. My first was that I was looking at an artifact of some sort, like the face on Mars. Then I saw it was California. Some might say they were similar...lol. No offense.

 

Maybe the way you present it helps, but it's dark and ancient, kinda makes me nervous and fight/ flight all at once. I like it.

It doesn't seem to have made much of an impression on the current pn membership but I figured if there was anyone who would like it, it would be someone a little more out there...like you.

My first impression was it looked like one of the victims of Pompeii, frozen in the rock from the volcano.  So there you go.

I first thought it was pictured in Pompey, some dead body covered with ashes and filled with plaster!
