As finally drawn as an Albrecht Durer print. It's funny, I've recently been watching a lot of documentaries about Renaissance art (northern and southern) on You Tube and now I seem to see echoes of the Renaissance appreciation of line and form everywhere. It goes to show the malleability of our perception.

Two pillows, a crumpled sheet. On a superficial level a very ordinary scene - yet, every element points to something or someone outside the frame of the photo unfolding a multiverse of potential stories.

Thank you for your comments, Wolfgang and Jack.  Wolfgang, often I snap a scene without really knowing why - perhaps you hit on something that was affecting me subconsciously.  Jack, your mention of Durer made me look up his work, and I was struck by his amazing treatment of folds in fabric.  I assume this is the connection you made, but since I'm no student of art, I can't be sure.  I thank you for pointing me toward Durer - I learned some cool things today.

Love this one, Mark.

I am formulating a theory that in photography there are finders and there are creators. You and I are finders. Gotta love a kindred spirit.

Amy, I always enjoy reading your comments.  Thank you.  I agree that our methods seem to be similar in many of our shots.  Seek, and ye shall find.
