The scene during the early to mid-morning of attempting to shoot the

Egrets and Great Blue Heron.

Thanks for taking the time to view, comment/critique, rate and, allowing

me the opportunity to share.

I thought the "scene" worthy of a snapshot!

Thanks again,

Jim j.

what a beautiful place!  We've been following you and your egrets- I'm (G) going to go out on a limb here and give you a suggestion. On a bright day like this, I would set the iso at 100   and, while I am an advocate of using high f numbers where required, in a landscape like this, you really don't need f32. Probably  f8 to f11 would give you plenty of dof- but, try several identical shots at various settings- you can do this easily in program mode.  This would also give you much faster shutter speed,  1/25 s is real hard to keep steady.  It also seems like on the other egret shots, there is still room for more sharpening.  Try  "filter"  sharpen > smart sharpen  and play with the sliders to see what you get. You've got some nice shots in this series.

Many thanks for your encouraging visits and comments!

Gregory, . . . Of course I was trying to get the foreground Great Blue Heron in focus as well as the Cattle Egrets in the distant tree. Well, . . . you know I don't shoot much landscape and as I recall, I did do a couple of shots at f/16 but with less appeal for this scene. In this instance I truely miss the A-DEP feature of the EOS 3.

In any case, I totally agree with you but I thought "what the heck, . . . lets see what f/32 does!

I am glad see and to hear that someone liked this series!

Regards always,

Jim j.
